About the position

This is an entry-level position for a new graduate Instrumentation Engineer at Worley Group Inc, located in Billings, Montana. As part of the Worley Graduate Community, you will work under supervision and mentorship within the electrical engineering department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the delivery of engineering services to Worley and its clients, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget while adhering to applicable statutory and regulatory specifications. In this role, you will perform various instrumentation engineering services, which include contributing to studies, analyses, and recommended actions. You will assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports. Effective communication with the instrumentation engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers, is essential. You will also be expected to identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and seek assistance when necessary. Responsibilities

  • Perform instrumentation engineering services such as contributing to appropriate studies, analyses, and recommended actions.
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with the instrumentation engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required.

Requirements

  • Technical and practical instrumentation engineering skills.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental requirements of instrumentation engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Developing skills in instrumentation engineering-specific software.
  • Some skills in the use of relevant software such as MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A recognized and relevant Engineering degree obtained by June 2025.

Nice-to-haves

  • Equivalent degree that will lead to registration as a Professional Engineer.
