About the position

The Program Coordinator at Knapp Medical Center is responsible for the operational and financial management of the residency/fellowship training program. This role involves supporting the Program Director and residents, ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation policies, and managing various programmatic issues. The position requires a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, and effective communication skills to facilitate the success of the residency program.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational and financial management of the residency/fellowship training program.
  • Support the Program Director and residents in various capacities.
  • Assess and direct programmatic issues including long-range planning and trainee recruitment.
  • Develop projects and maintain databases related to the residency program.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty and trainees regarding program issues.
  • Manage internal and external program relations.
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME and hospital policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft suite, ERAS, NRMP, New Innovations.
