About the position

The Process Mechanical Municipal Engineer position is an entry-level role within the Water & Engineering Design team at GHD. The role focuses on the planning, design, permitting, and construction of various civil and environmental engineering projects for municipal and private clients. This position offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to develop their professional skills and gain hands-on experience while working alongside senior-level staff in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of civil and environmental engineering projects.
• Develop supporting project information including calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report text, figures, and drawings.
• Perform construction phase engineering tasks such as submittal review and test data evaluation.
• Assist with the development of drawings using AutoCAD.
• Help develop preliminary facilities layouts and designs.
• Maintain open communication with project team members and project managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience; internship or co-op experience preferred.
• EIT preferred with intent to pursue Professional Engineering license.
• Intermediate AutoCAD skills a plus but not required.
• Willingness to observe construction activities and complete field investigations.
