About the position

As a Graduate Process Mechanical Municipal Engineer at GHD, you will be an integral part of our Water & Engineering Design team, contributing to the planning, design, permitting, and construction of various civil and environmental engineering projects for both municipal and private clients. You will be responsible for developing supporting project information, which includes calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report text, figures, and drawings. Additionally, you will perform construction phase engineering tasks such as submittal reviews and test data evaluation. Your role will also involve assisting in the development of drawings using AutoCAD, helping to create preliminary facility layouts and designs, and maintaining open communication with project team members and project managers. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of civil and environmental engineering projects.
  • Develop supporting project information including calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report text, figures, and drawings.
  • Perform construction phase engineering tasks such as submittal review and test data evaluation.
  • Assist with the development of drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Help develop preliminary facilities layouts and designs.
  • Maintain open communication with project team members and project managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience; internship or co-op experience preferred.
  • EIT preferred with intent to pursue Professional Engineering license.
  • Intermediate AutoCAD skills a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to observe construction activities and complete field investigations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD for layout and surface development.
  • Familiarity with volume calculations.
