About the position

The Graduate Recruiter at Lubbock Christian University is responsible for recruiting students to the Graduate Counseling Programs. This role involves engaging with potential students through various channels, including on-site recruiting at schools and job fairs, and maintaining relationships with educational institutions and mental health agencies. The recruiter will also manage inquiries, maintain databases, and promote the Graduate Counseling programs effectively.

Responsibilities

• On-site recruiting at local and regional schools, job fairs, and professional conferences.
• Attend necessary state conferences and meetings.
• Travel for recruiting events as needed.
• Build relationships with schools and regional mental health clinics and agencies.
• Mail out letters and literature to potential student requests.
• Answer phone, email, and online inquiries from potential students.
• Maintain Excel database on potential students.
• Compile program information packets.
• Order and maintain supply of Department brochures and recruiting supplies.
• Update sections of the Department of Behavioral Sciences Graduate Counseling webpages at LCU site.
• Promote Graduate Counseling programs through LCU.
• Manage student and employer relations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and social media platforms.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and problem solve.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Significant sales experience preferred.
• Strong leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project coordination.
• Familiarity with mental health counseling programs.
