About the position

The Graduate Research Assistant position at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) involves engaging in advanced research on HIV-1 viral pathogenesis, immune defense, and clinical HIV eradication trials. PhD students will work under the guidance of Drs. Xu Yu and Mathias Lichterfeld, contributing to the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments while collaborating with other researchers in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret experiments related to HIV research.
  • Interface with collaborators to design experiments and analyze data.
  • Prepare scientific presentations and publications.
  • Supervise experiments and data analysis of technicians or students as needed.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Immunology, Virology, Cell Biology).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete complex research projects.
  • Significant experience in standard laboratory techniques such as next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, PCR, western blots, and tissue culture.
