About the position

The Graduate Rotational Program for Engineering Associates at The Shyft Group offers recent graduates an immersive experience across various engineering functions over a three-year period. Participants will engage in product development, process improvement, and design innovation, rotating through multiple roles to build a solid foundation for their engineering careers. This program emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the development of both technical and interpersonal skills, preparing associates for future leadership roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of engineering projects that enhance product performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and launch innovative solutions.
  • Analyze data and research trends to support design and development objectives.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Present findings and project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead or contribute to projects in each rotation, driving measurable results.
  • Develop a deep understanding of company operations and industry trends.
  • Build and refine your skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and cross-functional communication.
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and take initiative to learn and grow within each rotation.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar).
  • Must be either a December 2024 or Spring 2025 graduate.
  • Must be able to relocate two to three times during the three-year rotational period.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and problem-solving in engineering.
  • Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.20). (Transcript required)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take ownership of your work.
  • Passion for learning and a commitment to driving success within a dynamic organization.
