About the position

The Graduate School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Graduate School, providing high-quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff. This temporary full-time position requires strong communication skills and the ability to learn and convey Graduate School policies and procedures effectively. The role involves assisting with graduate application inquiries, event coordination, and maintaining informational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Customer Service Manager in answering phones and greeting customers.
  • Inform and educate students, faculty, and staff regarding Graduate School policies and procedures.
  • Assist students with graduate application questions, including program and process deadlines.
  • Assist with Graduate School events, such as registration and compiling recruitment brochures or other event materials.
  • Update program flyers or other materials as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge and experience with the graduate admissions process.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the graduate school and university websites.
