About the position

The FS brand is dedicated to excellence in agricultural and energy-related products, and this internship role under the Merchandising Manager focuses on learning and completing tasks associated with merchandising while working on a business-related project. The intern will gain hands-on experience in tracking cash basis value changes, assisting with marketing and analysis, and building customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Learn about and track cash basis value changes.
• Assist with updating bid sheets supplied to producers daily.
• Work with the Merchandising Manager in assisting facility managers with planning, analysis, and marketing of current house stocks and future shipping needs.
• Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager and Business Manager to complete a project for better analytics of the company.
• Build upon professional relationships with current customers and end users.
• Prospect new customers and assist with origination.

Requirements

• In good academic standing at a 2-year or 4-year school, pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a Business-related field.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel independently and overnight.
