About the position

The Grain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of grain facilities, ensuring high levels of customer service, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing logistics, inventory, and employee training while fostering a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork and respect. The manager will also ensure that grain quality meets end-user needs and that facilities are maintained in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

• Create a culture that maximizes customer service
• Work closely with location manager to maximize logistics and manage inventory
• Maintain a clean and neat facility that represents the Sunrise Culture
• Train and mentor employees as needed
• Build a quality team of employees passionate about customer service
• Cross-train employees to enhance skill sets
• Ensure grain facilities are maintained in excellent condition
• Assign tasks to employees as needed
• Maintain a safety culture that keeps employees safe and compliant
• Operate grain elevator efficiently, monitoring grain drying and bin aeration
• Maintain highest grain quality meeting end users' needs
• Communicate effectively with the location manager, reporting issues in a timely manner
• Understand all aspects of the grain business
• Perform all other duties as assigned
