About the position
The Branch Sales Associate position at Grainger involves providing exceptional customer service and sales support in a branch environment. The role focuses on connecting with walk-in customers, maximizing sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while also performing various warehouse tasks. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, and loading customer vehicles.
- Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
- Adapt communication style to different audiences in email, over the phone, or in person.
- Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders and shipping products.
- Prepare customer backorders and manage stock received.
- Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
- Perform inventory counts as needed.
- Navigate various computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
- Maintain branch appearance through housekeeping tasks and compliance with safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
- Willingness to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.
