About the position

Trout Unlimited Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Conservation Project Manager. This role is pivotal in leading and managing various conservation initiatives aimed at protecting and restoring coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. The ideal candidate will work closely with local communities, stakeholders, and government agencies to implement effective conservation strategies and ensure the sustainability of our natural resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage conservation projects focused on coldwater fisheries and watershed restoration.
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote conservation efforts.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct field assessments and monitor project progress and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and funding agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in conservation project management.
  • Strong knowledge of fisheries biology and watershed management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising.
  • Familiarity with GIS and data analysis tools.
