About the position

The position involves coordinating and managing multiple grants, including all local grants. The individual will collaborate with district staff and outside personnel to formulate, develop, effectively implement, and evaluate the grants. The role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize work and resources, as well as the ability to create and support innovative grant programs and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Compile necessary information for the application process through research and collaboration with district and school staff.
  • Submit grant applications.
  • Collaborate with district and campus staff to establish priorities for programs and services, establish strategic and/or implementation plans for addressing the priorities, and leverage all available resources to accomplish identified goals and objectives for student achievement.
  • Monitor and evaluate grant program activities, projects and budgets.
  • Complete all grant reports and documentation required by each grant.
  • Serve as liaison between school and other agencies on joint projects that are grant funded.
  • Consult with administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and other relevant individuals regarding grants.
  • Oversee the development and management of multiple grant program budgets to maximize resources and ensure efficiency and economy of funds.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews with assigned program managers and instructional leaders at the school and district level.
  • Monitor program expenditures to ensure use of funds in accordance with program guidelines and district policies and procedures.
  • Function within policies and administrative procedures of South San Antonio ISD.
  • Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel independently as required to fulfill responsibilities of the job.
  • Attend all meetings and staff development training, as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in managing grants recommended (program and budget).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
  • Ability to create and/or support innovative grant programs and activities.
  • Knowledge of grants at various levels.
  • Knowledge of technology requirements for both network and instructional services.
  • Proficiency with standard functions within electronic applications such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with a variety of electronic devices and computers to include desktop management, file management and operations, and working in a network environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant experience in program management (program and budget recommended).
