About the position
The Grant Manager at Visiting Nurse Association (VNA)/Easterseals Nebraska (ESN) is a vital role within the Fund Development Team, focused on securing funding to support public health initiatives and services for under-resourced communities. This position involves writing compelling grant proposals, managing relationships with funders, and overseeing the entire funding cycle to ensure compliance and timely submissions. The Grant Manager will play a key role in identifying operational needs and setting fundraising goals to achieve the organization's mission of providing exceptional care and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the writing and submission of compelling funding proposals that align with the agency's mission and goals, collaborating with key staff and community partners.
- Oversee the full funding cycle, manage the annual grants calendar, identify opportunities, ensure timely submissions for applications and reports, and monitor compliance.
- Promote VNA/ESN's mission and role and develop and foster strong relationships within the organization and community.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising and grant writing experience in private, public, and corporate sectors.
- Master's degree in social work, Public Administration, or a similar field preferred. A bachelor's degree with significant experience will also be considered.
- Proven skills in grant writing, grant management, budget development, and developing strategic relationships with funders, and working collaboratively with staff.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
