About the position

The Grant Project Coordinator at the US Bureau of Indian Education is responsible for facilitating, planning, and ensuring the progress and completion of a post-secondary student support services grant project. This role involves maintaining ongoing monitoring of grant funds and expenditures, creating partnerships with service providers, and preparing reports related to the grant project.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, plan, and ensure progress and completion of a post-secondary student support services grant project from initial phase to grant closure.
  • Maintain ongoing monitoring of grant funds and expenditures to ensure grant target areas are met.
  • Create partnerships with potential service providers to develop a plan for cooperation and coordinate student support services delivery.
  • Maintain project database and utilize data to compile and prepare routine and special reports for grants project.
  • Assist with briefings to management, grant sources, and other stakeholders concerning project status, budgets, and milestones.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Knowledge of grants management regulations and budget analysis functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in planning and coordination of post-secondary grant projects.
  • Analytical knowledge of grants management laws and statutes for compliance.
