About the position

The Grant Project Coordinator position at the Bureau of Indian Education involves overseeing post-secondary grant projects aimed at enhancing student support services. The role requires effective coordination from project initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, and maintaining partnerships with service providers to facilitate the delivery of support services.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, plan, and ensure progress and completion of post-secondary student support services grant projects.
  • Maintain ongoing monitoring of grant funds and expenditures to ensure grant target areas are met.
  • Create partnerships with potential service providers to develop a plan for cooperation and coordinate student support services delivery.
  • Maintain project database and utilize data to compile and prepare routine and special reports for grants projects.
  • Assist with briefings to management, grant sources, and other stakeholders concerning project status, budgets, and milestones.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Background investigation will be required for all hires.
  • Degree in education or a related subject-matter field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in education.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7 for GS-9 level, or GS-9 for GS-11 level in the Federal service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of grants management regulations.
  • Experience in budget analysis functions related to grant projects.
  • Analytical knowledge of grants management laws and statutes for compliance.
