About the position

The Grant Writer for Biosciences at Texas State University will support sponsored research initiatives by co-writing and developing grant proposals for academic researchers in the health and biosciences fields. Responsibilities

  • Co-write and co-develop biosciences-related proposals for funding to be submitted to private and public sponsors.
  • Create and implement workshops and trainings in grantsmanship.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders who support the research enterprise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
  • Three years of full-time grant writing experience.
  • Advanced writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
  • Fluency in communication techniques relevant to health and biosciences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and collaborative endeavors.
  • Knowledge specific to the funding and compliance landscape for health and biosciences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Doctoral degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
  • Five years of full-time grant writing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and synthesize faculty research.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and evaluating trainings and workshops for professionals.
