About the position

The Cybersecurity Grant Writer will be responsible for developing compelling grant proposals to secure funding for cybersecurity initiatives, specifically targeting National Science Foundation (NSF) programs. This role requires a strong background in cybersecurity and grant writing, with a focus on compliance with NSF guidelines and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify funding opportunities relevant to cybersecurity projects, focusing on NSF programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, researchers, and project managers to gather information and data for proposals.
  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality grant proposals that clearly articulate project goals, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with NSF guidelines and requirements throughout the proposal development process.
  • Create and maintain a grant writing calendar to track submission deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance on budgeting and financial aspects of grant proposals.
  • Review and revise proposals based on feedback from stakeholders and external reviewers.
  • Stay current with trends in cybersecurity and funding landscapes to inform proposal strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, specifically with NSF proposals.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and research methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successful grant applications, particularly with NSF.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
