About the position

The Grants Manager at Homage Senior Services plays a crucial role in managing relationships with grantors and ensuring effective communication regarding the impact of their funding. This position is responsible for researching, developing, and preparing grant proposals, as well as creating and implementing strategies to enhance grant retention and engagement. The Grants Manager collaborates with various teams to align funding opportunities with organizational needs and demonstrates the importance of grantor contributions to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and writing grant proposals to government entities, corporations, and foundations.
  • Identifying prospective funding partners that align with Homage's mission.
  • Writing Letters of Interest (LOIs), compelling grant proposals, and accurate impact reports.
  • Managing the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.
  • Complying with funder guidelines during grant submission and reporting.
  • Developing an annual grants plan in partnership with the Philanthropy Director and Foundation Grants Writer.
  • Maintaining a grant proposal and opportunities calendar for single and multi-year opportunities.
  • Stewarding a small portfolio of family foundations as assigned.
  • Maintaining funder information, strategy, and moves in the donor database.
  • Leading, managing, and mentoring assigned staff, including recruitment, training, and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success and progressive responsibility in grant writing and non-profit fund development.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience.
  • Experience with fundraising software and effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to comply with contractual or agency immunization and health screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with RENXT database.
  • Experience with diverse communities.
  • Fluency in other languages in addition to English.
