About the position

The Grants Manager at Cherokee Health Systems is responsible for ensuring the overall success of all grant programs funded by federal, state, and local sources. This role involves compliance monitoring, financial administration, and collaboration with program staff to meet reporting requirements and effectively utilize grant funds. The position is integral to supporting the organization's mission of providing health and social services to underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations administered by the grantor.
• Oversee special audits conducted by the grantor.
• Perform functions of financial administration and reporting on a regular basis.
• Serve as a liaison with other departments on issues regarding grant budgets and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with instructional grant personnel to ensure successful utilization of funds.
• Coordinate staffing levels related to grants.
• Ensure completion of grant and program requirements related to substance use disorders treatment services.
• Monitor department budgets, contracts, and expenditure.
• Coordinate with program manager to ensure effective program delivery.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all state and federal guidelines regarding patient privacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Sociology preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years prior program or grant management experience in a health or mental health services agency setting.
• Knowledge of grant processes including accounting and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex grant funding requirements, submissions, and budget projections.
