About the position

The Temporary Grants Officer for Private Sector Partnerships at Mercy Corps will play a crucial role in managing and reporting on grants across various teams within the Development Department. This position focuses on ensuring that funds are utilized effectively according to donor specifications, coordinating grant processes, and supporting donor stewardship efforts. The role is designed to enhance the organization's fundraising relationships with major companies and individual donors, contributing to impactful social change through strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic grants management and reporting across the Corporate and High Impact Philanthropy teams.
  • Coordinate grant agreement reviews and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Manage timelines and revisions for donor reports, ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Create and coordinate donor stewardship materials as needed.
  • Facilitate grant kick-off calls and coordinate inputs for monitoring and evaluation needs.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date grant files in the fundraising database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in donor reporting and/or stewardship.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international development issues and corporate social responsibility.
  • Experience with grant budgets and financial reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in an additional language such as French, Spanish, or Arabic.
  • Grants management experience.
