About the position

The Grants Operations Coordinator at the Kern National Network (KNN) for Flourishing in Medicine is responsible for coordinating the pre-award planning, organization, and preparation, as well as the post-award administration of various grants. This role involves interaction with investigators and administrative staff to ensure compliance with regulatory and funding agency requirements, while providing guidance in identifying and developing grant opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrative staff and research team in the creation, negotiation, and administration of grants, contracts, and research proposals.
• Coordinate the grant process from development and submission to the post-award stage.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor terms, MCW policies/procedures, and federal regulations.
• Assist with grant writing and consolidate sources of information to ensure application document requirements are complete.
• Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, budgets, and stipulations.
• Identify funding sources and administer grant budgets.
• Support subcontracting with partner institutions and monitor sub-awards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience, preferably in grants writing and project coordination/management in a medical, research, or educational environment.
