Newport Mental Health (NMH) is seeking a highly motivated Grants Project Administrator to oversee the operation of our organization's grants portfolio. This position is crucial in managing the grant lifecycle, including grant writing, and is a key member of the Workforce and Strategic Development team. The Grants Project Administrator will actively contribute to building Newport Mental Health's grant portfolio and facilitate project oversight and leadership across internal departments to ensure that grant projects and goals are met. Collaboration with the Development and Marketing team is essential to the success of this role. The Grants Project Administrator will conduct internal reviews of agency needs, collect program data, and assess the feasibility of obtaining external funding for project and program proposals. This includes researching and investigating funding sources through materials review, listservs, meetings, and correspondence. The role also involves developing and maintaining an internal grant application process to ensure smooth and efficient grant-seeking activities. Additionally, the administrator will manage a grant management system for funded grants, tracking report due dates, budget adherence, and other grant requirements. Maintaining a comprehensive library of information on funding sources, grant writing, and community and state data relevant to our organization's programs and services is another key responsibility. The Grants Project Administrator will collaborate with fund personnel to gather input for projects and comply with data and information requests. They will coordinate, develop, and process grant applications from conceptualization to submission stage, working closely with staff throughout all phases. Managing multiple projects and priorities, including searching for funding sources, writing proposals, managing existing grants, reporting to stakeholders, and contributing to special projects, is essential. The role requires participation in regularly scheduled supervision with an emphasis on openness to receive feedback and integrate recommendations in the execution of job responsibilities. The Grants Project Administrator will identify and champion specific projects as they relate to grant goals and outcomes, in coordination with team colleagues and senior management leaders. They will serve as the grant writer for grant proposals and coordinate proposal submissions with the support of the Grant Specialist. Additionally, the administrator will prepare and process letters and correspondence, and grant project presentations, while providing support and follow-up with conversations and overall communications, including scheduling, with organization project officers.
