About the position

The Graphic and Illustrative Designer will play a crucial role in the Marketing team at X, focusing on conceptualizing and designing a variety of visual assets that enhance the brand's presence. This position involves creating engaging materials for campaigns, product launches, and events, while ensuring brand consistency and innovation in design. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align creative execution with strategic goals, contributing to the mission of building a trusted global digital public square.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and elevate a wide array of visual assets that drive X's brand forward.
  • Craft creative materials across brand campaigns, sales enablement, product launches, partnership campaigns, B2B and B2C activations, out-of-home displays, and events.
  • Design engaging visuals for presentations, digital media, print collateral, and event experiences.
  • Create illustrations that align with X's brand voice and elevate creative storytelling.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all design work, ensuring that the look and feel are cohesive.
  • Develop innovative, on-strategy designs that clearly communicate complex concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Partnerships Marketing, and Research to ensure synergy between creative execution and strategy.
  • Pitch fresh design concepts and deliver assets on time, while managing multiple design projects.
  • Receive and iterate on feedback in a fast-paced environment, working closely with colleagues across disciplines to produce top-quality work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a graphic designer and illustrator, with a strong portfolio from an agency and/or consumer tech environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with Figma or other design tools is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of design trends, including typography, layout, color theory, and illustration.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute designs for diverse media formats (digital, print, event collateral, etc.).
  • A proactive problem solver, able to handle multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at various levels, receiving feedback, and iterating rapidly.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present your ideas confidently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of brand development and storytelling through design.
  • Experience designing for social media platforms, with a finger on the pulse of emerging trends in graphic and digital design.
