We think big, embrace challenges, and explore new ideas to lead the way for the travel industry. ARC is looking for a Graphic and Multimedia Designer to join our team! In this role, you will create graphic design (print/web) with a strong emphasis on animation, photography, and video production. You will direct live on-camera interviews, perfect lighting, adjust audio, and edit post-production to create partial and fully animated videos in Adobe After Effects, as well as capturing and editing executive headshots. Additionally, you will support the creative brand by collaborating on ideas in the planning, research, design, and development of a variety of marketing projects, with direct contributions in the creation of multimedia assets. You will have experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with a high level of knowledge in Premiere and After Effects, and proficient knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Skills in Figma and audio editing are a huge plus. You will use strong communication and interpersonal skills to interpret business challenges and resolve problems on the fly by proposing creative solutions. This role will help identify, communicate, and work through issues and opportunities to benefit the Marketing department and overall organizational brand. You must have good presentation and people skills to work on a diverse team of designers, writers, web developers, and stakeholders across the organization. Overall, you will take initiative to improve knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and influence within the marketing/design team and beyond marketing to support the direction of the brand and overall strategic objectives.
  • Conceptualize, design and implement graphic elements consistent with the style, quality and brand identity of ARC.
  • Own multimedia projects from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Adjust video, lighting, sound, and scripts while managing the external and internal subjects of videos.
  • Establish positive working relationships to facilitate a successful outcome of the project and give feedback to others.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to create design assets that serve their function within the organization.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve their ideas to reach the best final product for ARC.
  • Support the design team outside of multimedia projects when necessary, including web and print design projects.
  • Participate in creative discussions and problem solving around relevant marketing projects within the company.
  • Create, manage, and maintain still and motion graphics library.
  • Operate camera, audio and lighting equipment.
  • Maintain the equipment, memory cards, external hard drives and file back-ups.
  • Manage stock photo, video and audio assets, accounts and libraries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia design or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • A 4-year graphic arts/multimedia degree and 4-7 years of professional experience are preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) and MS Office for OS X.
  • Intermediate HTML and CSS authoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, video production, animation, typography, logo & icon design and graphic illustration; 3D experience a plus.
  • Experience maintaining and operating cameras, audio and lighting equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Travel industry experience is a plus.
  • Skills in Figma and audio editing are a huge plus.
  • Capable of real-time problem solving as it relates to design issues.
