The Graphic and Visual Designer is a .75 FTE or 30-hour-per-week position at the University of Minnesota, specifically within the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing. This role is pivotal in creating visual content that communicates themes and messages through various forms, including text, audio, images, photography, animation, video, and interactive content. The designer's work will significantly impact students, staff, faculty, friends, and alumni of the Bakken Center, as well as the broader external community across the metro area, state, country, and world. Reporting directly to the Director of Communications, the Graphic and Visual Designer will engage in a wide range of design tasks, both internal and external. This includes producing print and digital advertising, social media graphics, flyers, videos, online newsletters, web content, original illustrations, and the Bakken Center's biennial magazine, Mandala. The designer will utilize graphic software and web-based tools to ensure the creation of accurate and high-quality finished products. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and developing the brand identity, design standards, and policies for the Bakken Center, ensuring consistency and professionalism in all visual communications.
