About the position

The Graphic and Web Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the Marketing team by providing both administrative and creative assistance. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position involves managing various administrative tasks, planning outreach events and seminars, and engaging with social media to enhance the company's online presence. The designer will collaborate with the marketing team to produce and distribute marketing collateral, ensuring that all materials align with the company's branding and messaging. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment, as it requires juggling multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of quality in design work. In addition to creative tasks, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for maintaining marketing files, reports, and calendars, as well as coordinating the creation and distribution of marketing materials. The position also involves managing the company-wide calendar of events and conventions, ensuring that all marketing efforts are well-organized and effectively communicated. The designer will assist in social media engagement, ensuring consistency with the company's branding, and will be expected to take creative direction well while executing designs quickly without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong graphic design portfolio that showcases their layout and creativity skills, particularly in digital pieces. Familiarity with ticketing programs such as Eventbrite is preferred, and proficiency in Adobe, Canva, or similar marketing material creation programs is essential. The role requires excellent time-management skills and the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients. Regular attendance and a constant state of alertness are necessary to perform the job safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative tasks for the Marketing team.
  • Assist in planning outreach events and seminars.
  • Engage with social media to enhance company presence.

  • Provide proper forms and supplies to departmental staff.
  • Assist in meeting planning support for outreach events and seminars.
  • Distribute mass mail outs, email campaigns, or surveys.
  • Coordinate the creation, production, and distribution of marketing collateral.
  • Ensure consistency in social media engagement with company branding.
  • Manage the company-wide calendar of events and conventions.
  • Oversee educational seminars and CEU accreditation documentation.
  • Make changes to web pages through WordPress.
  • Utilize CSS and HTML as needed.
  • Take creative direction well and execute designs quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Create and coordinate information for monthly newsletters.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness to perform the job safely.
  • Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or high school diploma with two years' experience in an office-related environment.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office programs and marketing material creation programs like Adobe, Canva, or similar products.
  • Graphic design portfolio showcasing layout and creativity skills in digital pieces.
  • Familiarity with ticketing programs such as Eventbrite preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service oriented with excellent design and time-management skills.

Nice-to-haves
