About the position
The Graphic Design Associate at Christ Church of Oak Brook is responsible for creating and producing engaging visual content that supports the church's ministries. This part-time role combines in-person and remote work, focusing on both print and digital media to effectively communicate the church's message. The position requires collaboration with various team members and adherence to brand consistency across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual content for print and digital media.
- Develop and design graphics for multi-page booklets, brochures, promo cards, advertising, banners, weekly e-coms, social media, website assets, and other marketing materials.
- Create press-ready production art for in-house and commercial printing.
- Ensure brand consistency and maintain a consistent visual style across all platforms.
- Meet deadlines for weekly worship materials and update content as needed.
- Organize and maintain digital/graphic files and assets.
- Assist in the management of ministry projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in graphic design or related field.
- 5+ years proven experience in graphic design or marketing preferred.
- 5+ years practical experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat).
Nice-to-haves
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Ability to translate ideas and concepts into visually appealing designs.
- Creative eye and exceptional attention to detail.
