About the position

The Graphic Design/Video Board Intern position at Lakeshore Chinooks offers an entry-level opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a collegiate summer baseball environment. This role focuses on applying creative design skills within the sports entertainment industry, particularly in media promotions and marketing collateral. The intern will also operate the video board during game days, providing a unique behind-the-scenes experience in a sports organization.

Responsibilities

• Creating marketing materials used for stadium marketing and promotional advertising
• Develop marketing materials for ticket and sponsorship fulfillment
• Develop content for stadium video board & operate video board on game days
• Responsible for assisting in the production of daily game day field notes
• Assist with updating, creating, and implementing content for team's website and social media platforms
• Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including info-graphics
• Use the Adobe Creative Suite to create design concepts, graphics and layouts
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Quality and accuracy of work
• Must be available for all Chinooks home games (which include weeknights, weekends, and some holidays)
• Must be available for any Chinooks related special events
• Completion of assigned tasks on schedule
• Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability, and proper attitude in dealing with others including co-workers and customers
• Conformance to company personnel, safety, quality, and housekeeping policies, procedures, and practices
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a current student (undergraduate or graduate)
• Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization as well as outside contacts
• Strong time management and attention to detail
