About the position
The Graphic Design Work Study position at Cincinnati State's Marketing and Communications Department is a project-based internship designed for students nearing graduation in Graphic Design. This role provides hands-on experience in a client-request environment, allowing students to apply their academic skills in real-world projects, including marketing collateral, print and digital advertising, and social media content creation.
Responsibilities
- Create print ads for regional publications such as Cincinnati Magazine and the Cincinnati Enquirer.
- Handle signage projects, including exterior and interior signs for wayfinding and events.
- Develop an updated PowerPoint presentation template for faculty and staff.
- Design social media posts for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Assist in managing messaging and communication for plasma TVs across campuses.
- Organize and prioritize photography assets for a new asset management system.
Requirements
- Must be a second-year Graphic Design Major nearing graduation.
- Familiarity with design software including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent proofreading and communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with PowerPoint and other Adobe CC Suite applications.
