About the position

The Graphic Designer and Content Creator at Club Greenwood is responsible for creating visual content for both print and digital platforms, coordinating photo and video shoots, and providing marketing support across various departments. This full-time, on-site role requires a blend of graphic design skills, marketing acumen, and a passion for fitness, as the designer will work in a dynamic health club environment to enhance the club's brand and member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable working independently and on a team, collaborating with managers as clients.
  • Excellent typographic skills with extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier Pro).
  • Responsible for design workflow from creation to posting online and printing materials for distribution around the club.
  • Possess a marketing mindset to understand different channels and design for evolving platforms.
  • Experience and ease working in WordPress and other website platforms, including photo sizing and formatting for the web.
  • Designing and writing for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest, generating original content to attract customers and promote the brand.
  • Experience in digital advertising design and copywriting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback, able to take direction and work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Passionate about design with a strong knowledge of current design trends.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and preparing items for vendors.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like Constant Contact to create design-friendly web content.
  • Creation of brochures, signage, flyers, banners, posters, logos, advertisements, and other marketing materials as directed by the Director and/or department managers.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales team to develop promotional and marketing literature.
  • Copywriting ability and self-editing skills are an asset.
  • Participate in the creation, development, and distribution of weekly newsletters.
  • Photography and videography skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to follow a systemized workflow.
  • Experience in the health and fitness industry and a personal interest in fitness is a plus.
  • Ability to work extra hours and on weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a relevant field (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of graphic design experience (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier Pro).
  • Experience in photography and videography is helpful.
  • Comfort and knowledge of fitness is essential.
