About the position

The Graphic Designer and Multimedia Specialist position at the Colorado Department of Human Services involves managing multimedia content and graphic design projects. Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee multimedia content for the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS).
• Coordinate with communications staff, state agencies, vendors, and offices within CDHS.
• Collaborate with the marketing director and other communications managers on multimedia projects.
• Create graphic designs, broadcast media, print materials, videography, and photography content.
• Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions with the communications team.

Requirements

• Six years of relevant experience in graphic design or marketing communications.
• A combination of related education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, and relevant experience equating to six years.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience.
• Experience in videography and photography, including video/photo editing software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience presenting data in easy-to-understand formats, graphics, and tables.
• Experience working in a non-profit organization or public sector environment.
• Ability to develop a range of marketing materials including branding assets and social media content.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
