About the position

Center Stage Merchandising is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team. We specialize in designing and sourcing apparel and accessories for touring artists, music festivals, and leading apparel brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design and the ability to translate client visions into visually compelling designs. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The Graphic Designer will report directly to the Creative Director and will work closely with the sourcing and company leadership to ensure that all designs align with the brand's vision and standards. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Creative Director for the development of artwork and graphics. You will help create and develop artwork for headwear, t-shirts, accessories, and other apparel, working from initial ideation and concept to finished product. Your work will involve producing quality digital graphics and typography for apparel, print, and web, with a particular emphasis on headwear and graphic t-shirts. You will need to maintain a strong pulse on apparel design trends and promote future concepts that could be applied to the company's catalog of brands. The ideal candidate will possess a strong bias for action, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. You will be expected to complete projects promptly while considering occasionally shifting priorities. Additionally, you will communicate with clients to present concept decks and ideas, ensuring that their visions are accurately represented in the final designs. This position is full-time and requires a commitment to working in person at our Nashville, TN location.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director for the development of artwork and graphics.
  • Help create and develop artwork for headwear, t-shirts, accessories, and other apparel, from initial ideation to finished product.
  • Produce quality digital graphics and typography for apparel, print, and web, focusing on headwear and graphic t-shirts.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of apparel design trends.
  • Promote future concepts that could be applied to the company's catalog of brands.
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Communicate with clients to present concept decks and ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of experience in graphic design (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience with Adobe Illustrator (preferred).
  • Strong online portfolio exhibiting clean visual design sensibilities (must include portfolio in application).
  • Exceptional typographical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and fulfill multiple project requests while meeting deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, good energy, and passion for good design.
