About the position

Central Health's Communications Department is a dynamic team composed of diverse and talented professionals dedicated to effectively communicating the organization's mission and services. The Graphic Designer plays a crucial role within this department, reporting directly to the Creative Services Manager. This position requires a unique creative perspective and the ability to produce exceptional designs that translate concepts into reality across various platforms. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with multiple departments to create compelling visual assets that resonate with the community and effectively convey Central Health's purpose. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing a graphics asset library that features consistently styled and easily comprehensible designs suitable for various media formats within the Central Health system. This includes creating and designing promotional materials that highlight Central Health's mission and services in both printed and electronic formats. The Graphic Designer will work on a wide range of products, including flyers, infographics, advertisements, fact sheets, reports, presentations, brochures, booklets, and graphics for social media and video content, utilizing copy and data provided by other team members. The Graphic Designer will also be tasked with generating multiple ideas or concepts for graphic design assignments and presenting these to individuals or teams. They will gather information and materials for creative projects, assist in writing creative briefs, and create conceptual content such as graphics, illustrations, and other design elements for Central Health's websites and social media platforms. Additionally, the designer will design presentations to support both internal and external communications, including PowerPoint and Keynote formats. Maintaining brand elements and guidelines for the Central Health system is a critical aspect of this role. The Graphic Designer will design assets and templates for social media channels and fact sheets, assist in creating analytics reports for creative services and campaigns, and collaborate with Central Health's advertising and PR consultants. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams to develop collateral, manage the graphic design look and feel of the system's brands, ensure quality assurance in graphic production, and maintain brand consistency. The Graphic Designer will also be responsible for trafficking creative projects through the organization and working with creative and advertising vendors to design and produce a variety of deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a graphics asset library comprised of consistently styled, easily comprehensible designs that can be used for various media across the Central Health system.
  • Develops and designs products that promote Central Health's mission and services in printed and electronic formats, including flyers, infographics, advertisements, fact sheets, reports, presentations, brochures, booklets, and graphics for social media and video.
  • Develops multiple ideas or concepts for graphic design assignments and presents them to individuals or a team.
  • Gathers information and materials for creative projects and assists in writing creative briefs.
  • Creates conceptual content (graphics, illustrations, and other design elements) for Central Health websites and social media platforms.
  • Designs presentations to support internal and external communications (PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Designs e-newsletters, cards, letterhead, reports, and other communications tools as needed for the Central Health system.
  • Maintains brand elements and guidelines for the Central Health system.
  • Designs assets and templates for social media channels and fact sheets.
  • Assists with creating analytics reports for creative services and campaigns.
  • Works with Central Health's advertising and PR consultants.
  • Works independently and with teams to develop collateral.
  • Manages system brands and organizations graphic design look and feel.
  • QA graphic production and brand consistency.
  • Traffics creative projects through the organization.
  • Works with creative and advertising vendors to design and produce a variety of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related field required.
  • 7 years full-time experience either in-house or in-agency in design, advertising, marketing, public relations, or related field required.
  • 7 years expert command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required.
  • 7 years design, layout, infographics, production, and project management skills for digital, print, and campaign required.
  • Experience creating and manipulating multi-media projects, including photography, text, and digital artwork required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 years Experience with branding, social media design, illustration, and photo/video editing preferred.
  • Experience with motion graphics (i.e. Adobe After Effects) preferred.
