About the position

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative branding team at Gamut Packaging. This part-time role focuses on developing custom packaging solutions and contributing to various branding projects. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and innovative, overseeing packaging design from concept to completion while ensuring originality and adherence to deadlines. The position involves collaboration with the Creative Director, Sales Department, and project management team to bring client brands to life through effective visual communication.

Responsibilities

• Accept and implement constructive feedback from sales personnel to ensure designs meet required standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Develop packaging artwork and typography that aligns with client guidelines.
• Create multiple design variations and layouts for approval.
• Maintain proper backup, archiving, and cataloging of all projects, both ongoing and completed.
• Perform retouching and image manipulation as needed.
• Attend scheduled team meetings to stay updated on company news and initiatives.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects while adhering to design guidelines and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be open to creative ideas.
• Work with product images and descriptions to develop design concepts.
• Resize and adapt graphics for various projects.
• Work efficiently to support sales decks and brand presentations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (3-5 years preferred)
• Associate Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively
• Proven ability to handle multiple creative projects and meet deadlines
• 2+ years of experience in packaging design, typography, and print production (preferred)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with pre-press and printing processes
• Basic knowledge of print production
