About the position

Minuteman Press is seeking a Graphic Designer/Customer Service representative to join their team. This full-time position involves graphic design, print production, and customer service, requiring strong graphic and layout skills. The successful candidate will create new designs and concepts to meet customer requirements, manage various design projects, and ensure high-quality print production.

Responsibilities

• Create new designs and concepts to meet customer requirements.
• Work with design programs including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Layout and manipulate various projects based on customer needs.
• Understand different file types such as Bitmap, Vector, JPG, PNG, EPS, PDF, etc.
• Manage projects involving high-quality printing and communication services.
• Prepare files for print production, checking fonts, links, and colors.
• Review job specifications from work orders to ensure client files are accurate.
• Develop and maintain client library files and file handling.
• Operate digital copiers/presses to produce customer jobs.
• Assist and consult with clients about their projects in person, on the phone, and via email.
• Prepare, package, and ship completed jobs.
• Maintain an orderly work area.

Requirements

• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task on several client jobs simultaneously.
• 2 years of print design experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a print or copy shop is preferred but not required.
• Experience with FEDEX Office, UPS Store, and Staples Print Shop is helpful.
