About the position

Minuteman Press is seeking a Graphic Designer/Customer Service representative to join their team. This full-time position involves graphic design, print production, and customer service, focusing on creating designs that meet customer requirements while managing various print projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong graphic and layout skills and be eager to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Create new designs and concepts to meet customer requirements, including rebranding logos, business cards, and banners.
• Work with design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Layout and manipulate various projects based on customer needs.
• Understand different file types including Bitmap, Vector, JPG, PNG, EPS, and PDF.
• Manage projects involving high-quality printing and communication services.
• Prepare files for print production, checking fonts, links, and colors.
• Review job specifications from work orders to ensure client files are accurate.
• Develop and maintain client library files and file handling.
• Operate digital copiers and presses to produce customer jobs.
• Assist and consult with clients about their projects in person, on the phone, and via email.
• Prepare, package, and ship completed jobs.
• Maintain an orderly work area.

Requirements

• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client jobs simultaneously.
• Experience in print design preferred, with at least 2 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a print or copy shop is preferred but not required.
• Experience with FEDEX Office, UPS Store, or Staples Print Shop is helpful.
