About the position

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer/Developer to support a U.S. federal government intelligence agency. This role is pivotal in enhancing and conveying analytic thoughts and assessments through graphic design. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with analysts to understand their requirements and utilize their design skills to create compelling visual narratives. The position is contingent upon contract award and requires an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph. In this role, you will leverage technology to design and develop a variety of intelligence products. This includes integrating graphics with text, audio, and video to produce interactive and multimedia high-visibility finished intelligence products. You will also be responsible for producing dynamic content that adheres to the Intelligence Community (IC) published standards, which may include podcasts and audio segments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong ability to transform complex information into engaging visual stories, ensuring that the final products effectively communicate the intended messages to the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts to understand their requirements for graphic design projects.
  • Design and develop a wide range of intelligence products using technology.
  • Integrate graphics with text, audio, and video for multimedia intelligence products.
  • Produce dynamic content in accordance with Intelligence Community (IC) published standards, including podcasts and audio segments.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Minimum three years of experience in graphic design, with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in professional graphics and design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, and Flash), Apple Final Cut Pro X, and Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrated ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner, both verbally and non-verbally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, d3.js, leaflet.js, Angular, or Typescript.
  • Experience in cartography and geographic information systems.
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience with the intelligence production cycle and graphic design.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
