About the position

The Graphic Designer at Liberty Diversified International, Inc. plays a crucial role in the design department, focusing on the accuracy of digital assets processed through the internal workflow system. This position requires a blend of technical skills and artistic expertise, particularly in Adobe Creative Suite, to prepare production artwork and ensure quality before printing. The designer collaborates closely with the Production team and reports to the Commercialization Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up final production artwork according to printing specifications.
• Convert PMS colors to CMYK and spot colors accurately.
• Review artwork for printed samples and production, suggesting design modifications for optimization.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with high-risk designs that may affect manufacturing.
• Resolve complications related to art files, cut files, and RIP software.
• Assist in testing new printing methods and substrates, communicating findings to the Digital Manager and Graphic Design team.
• Advise management on manufacturing and printing best practices, recommending adjustments to SOPs.
• Utilize the full Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Knowledge of digital printing RIP software.
• Ability to read color using a spectrometer and adjust CMYK values accordingly.
• Understanding of printing processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Esko Automation Engine workflows.
• Familiarity with G7 certification process.
• Experience as a graphic artist, pre-press operator, or production artist.
• Familiarity with the corrugated industry and POP displays.
