The Graphic Designer plays a crucial role in providing graphic design and marketing support for interactive multimedia courseware. This position involves designing and developing a wide range of media that supports various instructional approaches and strategies. The Graphic Designer is expected to create diverse media types, including photography, animations, audio, digital video, still images, 3D simulations, schematics, diagrams, and both 2D and 3D graphical representations. The role requires a strong understanding of the principles of graphic design to produce high-quality outputs for print, online publishing, and multimedia applications. In addition to media creation, the Graphic Designer will prepare graphics and illustrations based on concept drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. They will assist in analyzing training and media requirements to determine the best visual approaches for instructional strategies. The designer must be able to conceptualize and produce quality graphics based on scripts and storyboards, ensuring that all visual elements align with the educational goals of the courseware. The position also involves reviewing digital photo needs, creating shoot lists, and taking necessary photos to support the design and development of courseware. The Graphic Designer will work independently, traveling to various locations to coordinate photo shoots, ensuring that all images are clear and well-lit. They will process raw photographs, including editing and digitizing, while adhering to naming conventions for easy retrieval.
