About the position

The position is for a key member of the graphic team at a leading food manufacturer and distributor. The role involves managing private label requests, overseeing artwork needs, and ensuring the completion of packaging projects. The candidate will have the autonomy to handle various aspects of graphic design, including vendor communication, artwork preparation, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Handle private label requests and communicate artwork needs with vendors, customers, and internal staff.
• Take initiative with art projects from start to finish, including vendor orders, delivery, and invoice processing.
• Prepare artwork production files and packaging die-lines.
• Prepare artwork for Iconotech printed packaging.
• Act as project manager to ensure packaging projects are completed on time.
• Obtain or generate artwork proofs in the correct die-lines and with the appropriate number of colors.
• Review proofs for accuracy and compliance with legal labeling requirements and brand standards.
• Forward final approved artwork in the proper format to the specified printer or plate maker.
• Maintain and issue TOPS pallet patterns.
• Assist and provide backup to other graphic design personnel, particularly with corrugate and packaging design.

Requirements

• Experience in graphic design, particularly in packaging and label design.
• Proficiency in preparing artwork production files and die-lines.
• Strong project management skills to oversee packaging projects.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Iconotech printed packaging processes.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of legal labeling requirements for food products.
