About the position

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer with experience in Cannabis Label Design to join our team as a 1099 subcontractor. This part-time role offers flexible hours, allowing you to take on varying workloads based on demand. You will have the creative freedom to design unique labels for cannabis products, collaborating directly with customers to bring their visions to life.

Responsibilities

• Create label designs for a variety of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, and concentrates.
• Use Adobe Illustrator to create unique and eye-catching cannabis label designs, ensuring files are set up as high-quality vector EPS files for print.
• Set up files correctly with layers on Illustrator.
• Prepare files for spot color clear embossing and other specialized printing techniques to enhance label aesthetics.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure designs meet strategic objectives.
• Communicate consistently with customers throughout the design process, providing updates at each step.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes is advantageous but not required.
• Experience with Large Format Printers and UV printers is a plus.
