About the position

The Graphic Designer position at Compass Group involves creating high-quality designs that align with the company's brand identity. The role is part of the Compass Creative Studio (CCS) and focuses on supporting various clients and internal departments through both print and digital artwork. The designer will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other creatives and stakeholders to produce a range of materials including branding, layouts, graphics, and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
  • Display organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with other like-minded creatives and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate consistent quality and proof work prior to submitting
  • Develop design briefs, including brand standards of potential new partners and maintain those standards end-to-end in the bid process
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to creative team leadership; make revisions based on feedback received
  • Professionally communicate with outside partners, vendors, printers and colleagues as necessary
  • Open to business travel for site visits or presentation support

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of working experience within a design firm or in a creative team environment
  • Proficiency in graphic design fundamentals, including typography, color theory and composition
  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at switching gears quickly, performing under pressure, and excelling in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Display effective problem-solving skills and appropriate use of design programs for specific tasks
  • A keen eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail
  • Self-driven, proactive, and displays a positive attitude
  • Takes pride in their work; has a passion for design
