As a Graphic Designer I, you will be an integral part of the Marketing team, supporting the Marketing Manager in creating visually compelling communications that enhance the customer experience both in-store and online. This role requires a creative individual who can produce designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also align with the brand's identity and resonate with customers. In this position, you will be responsible for day-to-day design coordination across various print and digital formats, working on a diverse range of creative projects. Your tasks will include incorporating hand-drawn artwork, photography, and typography to develop marketing materials that reflect the essence of Glorioso's. You will design in-store signage, menus, flyers, brochures, and promotional materials for both the retail environment and the culinary platform. Additionally, you will assist in creating email campaigns, managing e-commerce tasks, and supporting product photography efforts. Collaboration with the Marketing Manager will be key to ensuring that all graphic design needs are met effectively and creatively. To thrive in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory, along with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality in your work. Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day design coordination in both print and digital formats working on a wide range of creative projects.
  • Incorporate hand-drawn artwork, pre-drawn art, photography, and type to develop designs that are creative, on brand, and resonate with customers.
  • Design marketing materials for the retail environment, including in-store signage, menus, shelf talkers, counter cards, flyers, brochures, and retail displays.
  • Design marketing materials for the culinary platform including class calendars, brochures, and promotional signage.
  • Provide design and illustration assistance for private label products and branded merchandise.
  • Produce labels and branded product cards for retail products.
  • Assist in creating, posting, and updating classes & events.
  • Assist in creating email campaigns for events and product features.
  • Perform e-commerce and website administrative tasks.
  • Assist with product photography.
  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Marketing Manager to coordinate graphic design needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, visual arts, studio art, or illustration.
  • 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional creativity and design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing professional work in a range of creative projects across various mediums.
  • Video editing experience preferred (i.e., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, graphic fundamentals, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and be comfortable with multiple work platforms.
  • Effective communication skills - written, electronic, and verbal.
  • Knowledge of creative trends and best practices across all forms of media.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong people skills, friendly, and reliable.

  • Background in food or hospitality industry preferred.
