About the position

The Graphic Designer I position at C2 Technologies is a remote role that supports the company's RRL initiatives. This position is designed for a junior graphic designer who will work under the supervision of a Program Manager, focusing on day-to-day tasks and career development. The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge of current graphic design software to create graphic art and visual materials for various purposes, including promotions, advertisements, and instructional content. The role involves generating and manipulating graphic images and animations, as well as integrating sound, text, and video into cohesive multimedia programs. In this position, the Graphic Designer I will collaborate with a talented team of 3D artists and software engineers to conceptualize, build, and deploy digital assets across multiple platforms. The designer will be responsible for translating wireframes, process flows, and sitemaps into prototypes and final compositions, ensuring that designs are effectively showcased. Additionally, the designer will maintain an archive of images and previous work products, and provide guidance to software engineers on implementing UI/UX designs into Unity. The role requires continuous collaboration with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to ensure a unified design and user experience for digital products. The designer will also utilize design thinking techniques to navigate complex design challenges and contribute to the overall success of the projects they are involved in.

Responsibilities

  • Design layout of art or product exhibits, displays, or promotional materials.
  • Effectively translate wireframes, process flows, and sitemaps into prototypes, mockups, and final compositions to showcase and demonstrate designs.
  • Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork.
  • Collaborate with others to develop or refine designs.
  • Review art or design materials.
  • Draw detailed technical illustrations and illustrate a process using computer animation.
  • Work on a variety of assignments on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintain records, documents, and other files.
  • Maintain an archive of images, photos, and previous work products.
  • Prepare and help guide software engineers on the implementation of UI/UX designs into Unity.
  • Provide feedback to developers as designs are implemented to ensure the user experience is cohesive and accurate.
  • Continuously collaborate with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to ensure a cohesive design and user experience for the digital product.
  • Utilize design thinking and questioning techniques to devise strategies for navigating ambiguous pathways.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Suite products.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Balsamiq is advantageous but not required.
  • Collaborative ability to work effectively with other designers and developers to implement new ideas.
  • Experience in developing 2D assets for IMI training development in a DoD environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts clearly and persuasively to audiences with varying levels of understanding.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
