About the position

As a Graphic Designer II at Texas A&M University, you will play a crucial role in visual communications, creating high-quality graphics for various platforms including the website, technical reports, and social media. Your expertise in drafting and 3D modeling will be essential in producing detailed drawings and renderings. You will also manage the production of the Annual Report, maintain the photo library, and design booth displays for industry events, ensuring brand consistency across all publications.

Responsibilities

  • Create expert-level graphics for the Center's website, technical reports, and publications including Tierra Grande magazine and social media.
  • Produce technical drawings and 3D renderings of buildings and structures using drafting and modeling software.
  • Manage the production and post-production of the Annual Report, including developing schedules and themes.
  • Maintain the photo library, cataloging and preparing images for use in publications and online media.
  • Generate Google Analytics reports and provide backup support for editorial staff in uploading content to the website.
  • Design booth displays for industry events and act as a liaison with vendors for publication production.
  • Create motion graphics for web and multimedia presentations, ensuring adherence to TAMU branding guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, or marketing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Earth for generating topographic maps.
  • Familiarity with TAMU branding guidelines.
