About the position

WSP USA Inc. has a unique opportunity for a Graphic Designer II to be part of our Strategic Growth Team supporting the development of Construction Management pursuits. The position will ideally be located in Dallas or Austin, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; Tempe, Arizona; Irvine, California; or Portland, Oregon. Other locations within the United States may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and working in close collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager of Construction Management, the Graphic Designer will be in an excellent position to learn critical skills in design and visual storytelling in long-form documents as well as presentations. The position will also integrate with a high-performing, supportive team of graphic design peers, marketing managers and coordinators across the nation, as well as strategy development staff responsible for securing some of the largest infrastructure projects in the U.S. In this role, you will work with proposal teams supporting the art direction of highly-polished, long-form document layout and graphics development, creating a strong visual identity that engages the reader and translates complex technical information. You will participate and contribute to storyboarding and strategy sessions for custom graphics, and support the production of printed proposals and materials, which may include custom binders, tabs/dividers, etc. Additionally, you will collaborate with marketing and technical teams to distill technical information into cohesive visual presentations, including the development of highly-polished PowerPoint slides, and support the production of printed presentation materials, including large-scale boards, banners, and leave-behinds. You will be accountable and responsible for meeting multiple, concurrent deadlines through utilization of organizational and time management skills, and following through on commitments with attention to detail to efficiently meet deadlines. You will use graphic design principles such as color, form, and balance to create original design concepts that inform and engage technical and non-technical audiences across a variety of digital and print platforms. Maintaining brand consistency, as appropriate, based upon the assignment is crucial, as is keeping up with the latest technologies and trends in the graphic design environment, which may require researching and employing new software technology and design/development techniques. You will also support other miscellaneous graphics needs as they arise, including brochures, social media posts, etc. We are looking for a graphic designer who loves visual storytelling and is excited to learn about how our communities are planned, designed, and built. This role requires someone who can help convey complex technical topics into easy-to-read and compelling graphics for diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a voracious appetite for learning and professional development, proactively seeking opportunities to grow their skills and contribute to discussions within the team. Thriving in a collaborative environment is essential, as you will work closely with engineers, business developers, marketers, and program managers to produce strategic proposal and presentation packages.
