About the position

WRA Architects is seeking a Graphic Designer II to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role is pivotal in supporting our marketing efforts, particularly in developing and executing graphical components for K-12 political bond campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design or visual communications, with a strong preference for backgrounds in architecture, engineering, construction, media outlets, or public education. The Graphic Designer II will be responsible for both the design and production of creative materials, ensuring that all deliverables meet the high standards expected by our clients and internal teams. In this position, you will collaborate closely with marketing managers and coordinators to create and manage branding templates for bond campaigns, execute changes across various deliverables, and maintain a keen eye for detail throughout the design process. Your work will involve preparing artwork for production across multiple platforms, managing layout, typography, and photography decisions, and ensuring adherence to print standards. A strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Graphic Designer II will also be expected to participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities, including seminars and conventions relevant to marketing and graphic design. This role requires a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new design trends and technologies, as well as the ability to take on challenges and work collaboratively with team members. A portfolio showcasing your work and college projects is required for application.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing strategy, planning, implementation, and creative deliverables for internal and external clients
• Responsible for both design and production of creative materials
• Prepare approved artwork for bond campaign production across multiple platforms
• Create and manage bond campaign branding templates
• Execute changes or edits across bond campaign deliverables
• Work with Marketing Managers and Coordinators on bond campaign and client deliverables
• Manage layout, typography, and photography decisions
• Maintain working knowledge of print standards and print production of both large and small print formats
• Ensure quality control and attention to design detail
• Collaborate with team members to meet client deadlines
• Create brand marketing or promotional materials as needed for the company, including brochures, banners, posters, flyers, presentations, social media graphics, and branded documents

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design strongly preferred
• 5 years of experience in a graphic design role
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills
• Multitasking abilities and outstanding time management skills
• Understanding of visual elements such as type, layout, fonts, etc.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Architecture/Engineering, Construction, Media Outlets, or Public Education is a plus
• Familiarity with social media marketing strategies for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube
