The Graphic Designer II will report directly to the Director of Creative Strategies and will be responsible for elevating creative standards across various consumer and customer touchpoints. This role requires managing multiple design projects simultaneously while adhering to specified deadlines and providing constructive feedback during team reviews. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of current creative trends and a passion for staying ahead in the design industry. This position is critical for ensuring that SIG SAUER maintains a high level of project output and brand consistency throughout the organization. The Graphic Designer II will design and develop creative graphic solutions, present designs in context to category direction, and execute seasonal design according to market trends. The role also involves self-managing the creative process and ensuring efficient communication between design, marketing, and development teams. In addition to graphic design, the role includes selecting materials and colors for products within the apparel range, creating 3D concept representations, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to develop creative solutions that meet business needs. The position requires strong presentation and communication skills, as well as proficiency in various design software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative graphic solutions to concepts across consumer and customer touchpoints.
  • Present designs in context to the category direction.
  • Execute and implement seasonal direction according to market trends and overall design direction.
  • Self-manage the creative process and execute designs within the category's visual language.
  • Verbally present graphic ideas and details clearly in small groups and team meetings.
  • Ensure efficient communication flow between design, marketing, and development teams regarding graphics.
  • Submit all relevant information needed for the development process, including original artworks and execution information.
  • Design graphics, select materials, and colors for products within the apparel range in cooperation with marketing.
  • Create 3D concept representations and digital product information for accurate development and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and cross-functional partners to develop creative solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as a graphic designer within an agency and/or internal creative department.
  • BA or MA in Graphic Design or comparable education; or related experience/equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design with awareness of the competitive market.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong 3D skills and knowledge of virtual tools are required (e.g., Clo3D, Browzwear, VStitcher).

Nice-to-haves

  • Outdoor/firearms knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Curiosity and willingness to test and learn new and better ways of doing things.
