About the position

The Graphic Designer III position at Suvi, an Akima company, is focused on creating and processing graphic design layout projects of varying complexity. The role requires an active Top Secret security clearance and involves working with a range of graphic design software to produce high-quality publications and presentations. The designer will address various graphic requests with quick turnaround times, contributing to the company's mission of supporting federal projects and Alaska Native communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the designing of full-4/C color publications, special presentation graphics, posters, charts, and other graphics.
• Address a variety of graphic design requests with short turnarounds.
• Work with various graphics design software such as InDesign, Creative 7, Photoshop, FreeHand, Acrobat, Illustrator, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Perform research based on the primary use of the printed material.
• Complete additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must have an Active current Top Secret security clearance.
• Certified graphic designer experience, including assisting with the design of full-4/C color publications and special presentation graphics.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with graphic design software including InDesign, Creative 7, Photoshop, FreeHand, Acrobat, Illustrator, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Ability to address a wide variety of graphic requests with short turnarounds.
• Knowledge in print-design and understanding of the relationship between design and print production.
